Collections Clerk

General Purpose of the Position
Responsible for managing the collection activity processes daily. ,Principal


1. Prepare and send account statements monthly.

2. Post payments received in billing system daily.

3. Contact clients for collection matters and coordinate the pick up of checks, when necessary.

4. Post and update collection efforts on billing system daily.

5. Advise clients about billing aspects and revise engagements vs. bills when necessary.

6. Under the supervision of the Collection Officer, prepare collection letters and related corresponding documents.

7. Scan and file all payments information received.

8. Serve as back up for the Collection Officer in several tasks assigned and authorized by the CFO.

9. Provide support to other departments’ administration areas, as necessary.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Education. Training and/or Experience Required
This position requires a minimum two years of college education, BBA in Accounting or Business Administration preferred. Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related position.

Language, Skills and Knowledge
Must project a mature, well-balanced personality. Must write and speak fluently in both Spanish and English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to work with several projects at a time and have attention to detail.

Must be a person of high ethical standards. Impeccable manners, punctuality, reliability, attention to detail and empathy are critical success factors. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc) is needed.

Reasoning Abilities

The employee must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Equipment Used
PC/laptop, telephone, calculator, photocopier, scanner, facsimile, email.

Physical Demands
The position requires normal physical effort when standing, walking, and/or using office equipment.

Work Environment
This position usually performs in an office environment under normal conditions.
