General Purpose of the Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable accounting professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing bookkeeping, payroll, and tax functions for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be working with accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Strong analytical skills and direct client communication are key components of this position.
Principal Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for including data entry, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare Financial Statements and other customized accounting reports.
- Process payroll timely and accurately, including related tax filings, reporting and annual W-2’s.
- Calculate and file Sales and Use Tax returns (State and Municipal).
- Prepare Income Tax and other Tax Compliance returns (Individual and Corporate)
- Communicate directly with clients to address questions, gather information, and provide financial insights
- Any other general tasks related to accounting, payroll and taxes.
Education, Training and/or Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (BBA)
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and/or tax preparation.
Language, Skills and Knowledge
- Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Skilled in using accounting and payroll software (e.g., Quickbooks or similar platforms).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing and tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively and meet deadlines
